Exit Signs, Above Ground and Underground Emergency Lighting – Monthly and Annual Testing

1. All exit Locations
2. Main egress routes providing access in an open floor area
3. All corridors used by the public
4. All aboveground and underground walkways

• Pilot lights are functioning and not obviously damaged or obstructed
• The terminal connections, free of corrosion and lubricated where necessary
• The terminal clamps are clean and tight as per manufacturer specifications
• The battery surface is kept clean and dry.

• Every Month to ensure operation via the test switches.
• Annually by a qualified firm to ensure that the unit will operate to its designed criteria.
• All charging systems should be tested to ensure that they operate according to designed specifications of the manufacturer.
