Jit Sangha Honoured at Delta Business Excellence Awards

Jit Sangha Presented with Business Leadership Award at Delta Chamber Gala

At the Delta Chamber of Commerce’s 74th Annual Business Excellence Awards Gala, Jit Sangha was celebrated as a visionary entrepreneur and dedicated community leader, receiving the Business Leadership Award on October 24. His son Ryan accepted the award on his behalf.

As president of Active Fire & Safety Services Canada, Sangha leads one of the region’s top fire protection companies, employing over 130 people and serving industrial, commercial, and residential clients across the Lower Mainland and the Greater Toronto Area.

His leadership also extends to Realco Holdings Ltd., where he’s tackling Delta’s housing challenges head-on. Sangha is currently developing 800 affordable market homes in North Delta, with another 300 units approved and targeted for completion by 2026.

Sangha’s contributions go far beyond the boardroom:

• He’s a former board member of the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation.
• He’s helped raise nearly $1 million for the Mayor’s Ball.
• He continues to support initiatives like the Healthy Snack Program.
• He’s volunteered as a youth soccer coach and provided fire safety support to schools.
• Since 2017, he’s been deeply involved with Reach Child and Youth Development Society, currently serving on its Foundation Board to expand services for children with diverse abilities and foster cultural inclusion.

In a pre-recorded message, Sangha shared:

“My business is all about keeping my family and my community safe. To me leadership is incorporating that aspect in every part of life. I have raised my family in Delta and everything I do is with this community in mind. The real reward is seeing families thrive and know that we are shaping a stronger future for the next generation.”

This award highlights Sangha’s unique ability to bridge business excellence with lasting social impact.
