At Active Fire, community isn’t just something we talk about, it’s something we invest in. This past year, we were honoured to support the Lu’ma Native Housing Society and the incredible work they do for Indigenous individuals and families across Vancouver.
As the holiday season wrapped up, Lu’ma shared a heartfelt message with their donors, highlighting the impact that collective generosity made during a time that can be especially difficult for many. Their update was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when organizations and community members come together with purpose.
Thanks to contributions from donors, including Move Up, Clean Start, Lush Company, Gordon Food Services, the Shoebox Project, individual supporters, and our team at Active Fire, Lu’ma was able to:
These aren’t just numbers; they represent real people, real families, and real moments of comfort and dignity.
Lu’ma’s team also took a moment to recognize their dedicated staff, whose compassion and commitment make these initiatives possible. Their frontline workers show up every day to support residents with care, cultural safety, and respect. We’re grateful to stand alongside an organization that leads with heart and integrity.
Our partnership with Lu’ma reflects our values: community, responsibility, and meaningful action. Housing insecurity disproportionately affects Indigenous communities, and organizations like Lu’ma are doing the essential work of providing not just shelter, but stability, culture, and hope.
We believe in supporting organizations that create real, measurable impact — and Lu’ma does exactly that.
As Lu’ma shared in their message, “Together, we are making a difference.” We couldn’t agree more. Active Fire is proud to continue supporting their mission, and we look forward to standing with them again in the year ahead.
To the Lu’ma Supportive Housing Team, thank you for everything you do. And to our community, thank you for helping make this work possible.
